Chiropractic care
Chiropractic care, with a conversation first
Gurdeep is a licensed chiropractor. A first visit is a conversation and a movement exam, and he explains what he finds before he offers anything.
Chiropractic care works with the joints and muscles of the spine and body. Gurdeep may use hands-on adjustments, gentle mobilization, stretching or exercises to try at home. You choose which options to try, and you can say no to any technique at any point.
Who usually comes
People with back or neck stiffness
People with joint aches after sports, yard work or lifting
People who sit a lot and feel it
People who want an explanation of how they move

What a visit is like
From the door to the plan
- 01
Step 1: The conversation
About 15 minutes about your back, neck or joints, what you have already tried and what you hope to do.
- 02
Step 2: The movement exam
A look at how you stand, bend and turn, with simple tests of strength and range of motion.
- 03
Step 3: The explanation
Gurdeep tells you what he found in plain words and lays out the options, including doing nothing yet.
- 04
Step 4: The care
If you agree, a first adjustment or a gentler technique, with a check-in at each step.
- 05
Step 5: The plan
A first visit takes about 45 minutes, and follow-ups about 20. You agree on what to try next.
Good to know
Before and after your visit
What you may feel afterward
Some people feel looser afterward. Some feel mild soreness or tiredness for a day, like after exercise. Tell Gurdeep about anything that surprises you, and call us if something feels wrong.
Tell us first
Say any of these when you book, and again at the visit.
Pregnancy, or the chance you might be pregnant
A blood thinner, a bleeding disorder or bone thinning
A recent fall, car accident or surgery
New numbness, weakness or dizziness
Any technique you would rather not have
How many visits
Gurdeep suggests a plan with you after the first visit, such as a few visits close together and then a review. It is a plan we make together, never a promise, and you can stop whenever you like.
What it doesn't do, and when to see a doctor
Adjustments to the neck carry a rare risk of injury to a blood vessel in the neck, and Gurdeep explains this before any neck adjustment. Chiropractic care doesn't replace your doctor. If something is outside what chiropractic care does, he refers you to your doctor or another provider.
- A sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, new weakness or numbness, numbness in the groin or saddle area (between the legs and buttocks), or new bladder or bowel trouble needs emergency care now. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.
