First visit
Your first visit, step by step
One call gets you booked with the right provider. Here is what happens next.
You will see one provider at a time, and each has their own visit length. Arrive ten minutes early the first time, so you can settle in and ask the front desk anything. If you have booked two visits, the front desk schedules them with a short break in between.
How long each visit takes
Acupuncture: first visit about 75 minutes, follow-ups about 45
Massage therapy: 60 minutes
Chiropractic care: first visit about 45 minutes, follow-ups about 20
Nutrition counseling: first visit about 60 minutes, follow-ups about 30

The order of things
From call to checkout
- 01
Step 1: You call or send a message
Tell the front desk in a few words what you're looking for. We suggest a provider and offer a time.
- 02
Step 2: You get an estimate
If you are paying yourself, we send a written estimate before the visit. Ask for it when you book.
- 03
Step 3: You fill in your forms
We send a link to our patient portal. Your health history goes there, not in an email or a message to us.
Patient portal - 04
Step 4: You arrive
Come ten minutes early. The front desk shows you where to wait, and your provider comes to find you.
- 05
Step 5: You have your visit
Your provider explains each step, and you can pause or stop at any time.
- 06
Step 6: You leave with a plan
You agree on what to try next, get an itemized receipt, and book a follow-up at the front desk if you'd like one.
Getting ready
What to wear, bring and tell us
What to wear
Comfortable clothes that let you move, with sleeves and legs that roll up. For massage, you undress to your comfort and stay draped.
What to bring
A list of everything you take, including medicines and supplements, and your insurance card if you plan to send a receipt to your plan.
What to eat
Have a light meal an hour or two before an acupuncture or massage visit. Don't come on an empty stomach or after a heavy meal.
Tell us first
Pregnancy, a blood thinner, a pacemaker, lymph nodes removed, a bleeding disorder or worry about needles. Say so when you book and again at the visit.
Bring a friend
You are welcome to bring someone with you to the waiting room, or into the room if you and your provider agree.
