Fees
How fees work
Each provider sets the fee for their own kind of visit, and you hear it before you book.
Insurance we work with
We are out of network, so we don't bill health plans directly. Some plans reimburse acupuncture, massage, chiropractic or nutrition visits when you send in a receipt, and others don't cover them.
Most PPO plans: ask whether they reimburse out-of-network visits
Ask your plan about each kind of visit separately
If you pay yourself
Each kind of visit has its own fee, set by the clinic. The front desk tells you the fee for your first visit and the visits after it before you book, by phone or message. HSA and FSA cards can often be used: ask your plan administrator.
Receipts for reimbursement
After every visit we give you an itemized receipt, called a superbill, that your plan may reimburse. Your plan decides what it pays. Before you send it, ask your plan:
Is there a benefit for this kind of visit?
How many visits does it allow?
Is there a copay or a deductible?
Do I need a referral?
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, we give you a written Good Faith Estimate before your visit. If your final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it.
Checking your benefits
Because we are out of network, we can't check your benefits for you. Call your plan before your first visit and ask the questions above. The front desk is glad to stay on the line with you.
What the first visit includes
A first visit is about 75 minutes for acupuncture, 60 for massage therapy, 45 for chiropractic care and 60 for nutrition counseling. If you see two providers, you get two estimates, one for each visit.
Questions about cost?
Call or message the front desk. We will tell you what a visit costs before you book.
