For referring providers
Sending someone our way
A short guide for doctors, therapists and other providers who have a patient who might want acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractic care or nutrition counseling.
What each of us does
- Acupuncture (two licensed acupuncturists): fine needles, sometimes cupping or heat, with a long first visit.
- Massage therapy (two licensed massage and bodywork therapists): hands-on work at the pressure the patient chooses.
- Chiropractic care (one licensed chiropractor): a movement exam and options, including adjustments the patient can decline.
- Nutrition counseling (one licensed dietitian/nutritionist): a short written plan around the patient's own food and schedule.
How to refer
Have the patient call the front desk, or call us yourself with the patient's permission. We don't need a referral to book a visit, and we do welcome a note about what you'd like us to know.
What you will hear back
With the patient's written permission, we send a short note after the first visit and when something changes. We tell the patient when something belongs with their doctor, and we call you if we are worried about something.
What we don't do
We don't diagnose, prescribe, change a medicine or order tests. We don't replace your care, and we ask patients to keep seeing you.
